Laura Ruiz earned her law degree in 2006 with a specialization in the private sector from La Universidad Centroamericana (UCA-Managua) in her home country of Nicaragua before moving to the United Sates. She has now been with the Harris Law Firm for more than five years where she serves as an exceptional Florida registered paralegal. Ms. Ruiz also has an Associate of Arts degree in political science, is bi-lingual in English and her native language of Spanish, and holds a public notary commissioned in Florida.
As a paralegal, Ms. Ruiz handles thousands of documents produced in discovery and assists in drafting pleadings, motions, orders, discovery requests and responses, notices and other trial materials all under the direct supervision of our attorneys. Her breadth of knowledge and superior skills in procedural and substantive law, in state and federal courts, makes Ruiz an irreplaceable member on our team. She fully understands business law and has a keen ability to discover facts and conduct research laws that help clients reach a successful resolution to their case.
